Story
​
In 2022, our church, Celebration United Methodist Church, partnered with Mac’s Carnival and Attractions and brought a full carnival with 13 rides to Brandon, South Dakota, in hopes of bringing the community together for some fun, and making new relationships. This unconventional church sponsored event turned out to be the perfect avenue to bring together people of all backgrounds. We were able to interact with people who we never would have met without the carnival.
Even with a short time of planning, the Lord blessed the event by bringing over 2,000 people to the carnival over the weekend. For our congregation, this turnout was astonishing. We had no idea that it would be as big as it was. Because of this, we are adding live music to the event in 2023.
